Have you heard of Mushroom Rock State Park and Rock City? Well guess what, they are both located in Kansas! I'll be real honest with you, we have some nice rocks here :)
Mushroom Rock State Park - named as one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas Geology, this state park is one of the smallest but is in-deed a unique place to visit. Fun fact- the rocks sites served as meeting locations for Native Americans and early pioneers.
Rock City - located in Minneapolis, Kansas, is a 5 acre park where 200 huge Dakota Sandstone concretions lay. The spheres are up to 27 feet in diameter and this is the only place in the world which contains this many large rocks in one place. This is a local non-profit corporation, so please leave $3 in the bucket if the gift shop is closed!
